Week 11 Tight End Plays

Here we are now in Week 11 and I have yet to use Travis Kelce in a year where he was suppose to put up numbers that rivaled Gronkowski.  That is about to change

Travis Kelce ($4700)
KC vs SD
The Chargers continue to be one of the worst performing defenses in the league.  Not exactly Saints bad, but certainly to the point where we can take advantage of a less expensive TE.

TE's vs Chargers
Week 9:  Martellus Bennett - 8/57/1
                 Zach Miller - 2/23/1
Week 8: Crockett Gilmore - 2/8/1
Week 7: Clive Walford - 2/42/1
Week 4: Gary Barnidge - 6/75/1
Week 2: Tyler Eifert - 4/49/1
Week 1:  Eric Ebron - 4/53/1

If you listen to Chris Harris as I do, he will tell you defending against TE's is a scheme thing.  While I do understand where he is coming from, 7 TD's given up to TE's in 9 games is something to take note of.  Kelce is consistently targeted on average 7.1 times per game.  Kelce has the physical tools to turn those targets into a game similar to Week 1 where he converted his targets into 6/106/2.

The price of Kelce is also very appealing.  He again is priced $3000 less than Gronkowski allowing us to roll the dice on some of the top tier talents at other positions.

Rob Gronkowski ($7700)
New England vs Buffalo
There will never be a week where I say it is a bad idea to use Gronkowksi.  He is simply a monster on the field proving impossible to cover.  He sits in a tier all by himself each and every week.  With Edelman out for the foreseeable future, all of the passing weapons on the Patriots roster will benefit including Gronkowski, LaFell, and Amendola.

If you chose to save some money at other positions, this would be a very good week to use Gronkowski.  Many of the other top tier players are facing tough match ups.
