Week 14 WR Plays

The Daily Fantasy Minute: Where your DFS advice is always free.

There are a lot of strong WR plays looking into Week 14.  Let's get right to it.

1.  Mike Evans ($7200)
Tamp Bay vs New Orleans
Mike Evans is a physically gifted athlete with superior ball skills.  He has good speed and a monstrous 6'5"/230 lb frame.  He is playing with a rookie quarterback who is playing above the average rookie level for the position.  Winston continuously peppers Evans with targets and leads the team in red zone looks (15).  He now has the fortune to play against the leagues worst defense with a quarterback who isn't afraid to throw the ball into tight spaces.  The Winston/Evans stack may be the highest stack in DFS this week.

2.  Doug Baldwin ($4500)
Seattle vs Baltimore
With Jimmy Graham out due to a season ending injury, Doug Baldwin has led the team in red zone targets since his departure.  He has thrived off of his hot quarterback turning his opportunities into 433 yards and six TD's over the last four games.  The Seahawks appear to be playing in their prime offensively and Baldwin has benefiting the most.  Thomas Rawls is a perfect fit for this offense allowing the passing game to take their deep shots down the field.  This is a prime match up for Baldwin and is recommended in all DFS/Fantasy formats.

3.  Allen Robinson ($8000)
Jacksonville vs Indianapolis
As Robinson continues his ascent to the elite level of the WR ranks, he now faces a Colts secondary
struggling against nearly all WR's.  Digesting some numbers moving forward, let's take a look at how some of the other WR's have fared against this same Indy defense.

Player Week Rec RecYd RecTD FantPt
Anontio Brown 13 8 118 2 23.8
Martavis Bryant 13 4 114 1 17.4
Vincent Jackson 12 4 76 0 7.6
Mike Evans 12 5 64 0 6.4
Julio Jones 11 9 160 0 16
Emmanuel Sanders 9 6 90 1 15
Jalen Strong 5 2 53 2 17.3
DeAndre Hopkins 5 11 169 0 16.9
Allen Hurns 4 11 116 1 17.6
Kendall Wright 3 7 95 1 16.8
Brandon Marshall 2 7 101 1 16.1
Percy Harvin 1 5 79 1 14.8

Robinson has already gone over the 1,000 yard mark and has hauled in 11 TD's.  Those numbers are sure to continue heading into Week 14.  Bortles has a trust for Robinson in  the end zone.  When the play breaks down, more often than not, he looks for #15 to bail him out.  More times than not, Robinson does just that.  Robinson leads the team in red zone targets making him a very appealing option for our DFS line ups this week.

4.  Jeremy Maclin ($5500)
KC vs San Diego
Maclin has turned 21 targets into 255 yards and 3 TD's over the last two weeks.  The Chargers are not a strong defensive unit paving the way for the Chiefs to continue their hot streak.  Alex Smith does just enough to put Maclin in the right place to run after the catch.  The Chiefs running game is working no matter what RB that put in the backfield.  Just like any offense, the better the running game is, the better the whole offense is.  Maclin is a strong recommendation in all formats due to his large volume every week.

5.  AJ Green ($7900)
Cincinnati vs Pittsburgh
With the exception of the Week 13 game against the Colts, the Steelers secondary has had major issues tackling in the open field.  A.J. Green had over 100 yards in the first quarter last week against the Browns.  Had the Bengals not been so far ahead (34-3 going into 3rd quarter) Green could have had a career day.  There simply was no need to expose him against a Browns team which had completely mailed it in.  Dalton is playing at near MVP levels giving all the Bengals offensive weapons opportunities to make plays.  The last time these two teams faced off, Green turned 17 targets into 11/118/1.  Look for more of the same in Week 14.

Like I said at the top, there are a lot of good looking plays this week, here are my honorable mentions.  If time allows, I will dive into some more of them.
