Week 14 Tight End Plays

The Daily Fantasy Minute: Where DFS advice is always free!

What a difference a week makes.  Last week was top loaded at the tight end position, this week the position looks much weaker and could be the difference maker in our line ups.

1.  Tyler Eifert ($5600)
Cincinnati vs Pittsburgh

This game is going to be an absolute shoot out and Eifert looks like he's ready to go.  Dalton has a very high comfort level with Eifert in the red zone as he still leads all pass catchers with 12 receiving TD's.  He has found the end zone in seven of the 11 games he has played in including four multiple TD games.  The Steelers secondary remains a question mark leaving their team in must score situations.  The total for this game is 49.5 and there is no doubt in my mind it has the chance to go over the total.  As a side note, I expect this to be one of the more entertaining games of the Week 14 NFL slate.

2.  Julius Thomas ($4200)
Jacksonville vs Indianapolis
Julius Thomas has scored in each of the last three weeks.  Part of that was due to Allen Hurns being out but the other part of that is the Jaguars getting into the red zone more often.  Before Week 12, the Jaguars had only 10+ RZ looks one time which was WAY back in Week 6.  In Weeks 12/13, the Jaguars found their way to the RZ 11 times each game.  Allen Robinson is the clear favorite of Bortles in the RZ, but the large 6'5" 246 lb frame of Thomas is hard to ignore inside the 20.  The Colts are among the leagues worst passing defenses in terms of both yardage and TD's.  Thomas has a very nice price tag this week and offers tremendous upside for both cash games as well as GPP plays.

3.  Austin Seferian-Jenkins ($2700)
Tampa Bay vs New Orleans
Here we go again, those Saints are back on our slate.  I won't spend time beating up the Saints.  If you have been following the NFL this year, you already know how legendarily bad their defense is.  ASJ is finally healthy after being out for over 10 weeks with a mysterious shoulder injury.  Prior to his absense, ASJ found himself in 58/40 offensive snaps the first two weeks of the season.  In his first game back from injury, he only played in 21 offensive snaps where he was targeted six times turning those targets into three catches for 31 yards.  This is the kind of game where young players get better and hurt players get healthy.  ASJ will see more offensive snaps and undoubtedly more targets in the game with the highest point total of Week 14.  ASJ is a great value play for a mere $2700 and could easily end up the highest scoring TE for Week 14.  Fire up ASJ in all fantasy and DFS formats!

4.  Luke Willson ($2500)
Seattle @ Baltimore
I featured Luke Wilson in my Hail Mary plays this week.
