Week 11 Hail Mary Plays

These plays are exactly what the title implies, hail mary's.  Things have to go right for them to fall in our favor and for that reason should really only be considered for those more risk adverse or quite simply for GPP contests.

Cody Latimer ($3000)
Denver vs Chicago
As noted earlier, a few things have to go right for our Hail Mary plays to work out.  Latimer may have two of those things already working in his favor.  Latimer and Manning never saw eye to eye while him and Osweiler have developed some chemistry over the course of the season.  The talent of Latimer has never been in question, it has always been about the opportunity.  Through Week 9 of the NFL season, Latimer had seen a total 1 target.  Last week, after Osweiler came into the game, Latimer suddenly was the recipient of 6 targets.  In addition to the QB change, Emmanuel Sanders came up gimpy in the contest.  If Sanders misses any substantial time, Latimer is the one who could benefit the most.  Sanders is expected to have a regular week of practice but Latimer should be on your Hail Mary radar nonetheless.

Zach Ertz ($3100)
Philadelphia vs Tampa Bay
Ertz saw a season high 10 targets in Week 10 against Miami converting 6 of those into receptions for 68 yards.  Ertz has yet to find the end zone this season and I don't think that trend lasts too much longer.  He has had several TD's called back due to penalties.  Ertz is currently 2nd on the team in targets (58) behind only Jordan Matthews (80).  Tampa Bay has been somewhat generous on defense thus far.  For a Hail Mary play, it wouldn't surprise me to see Ertz get 2 TD's on the day.

Dorial Green-Beckham ($3200)
Tennessee vs Jacksonville
A few things need to go right for our Hail Mary plays to work and DGB has two of them in his favor.  Justin Hunter is out for the season with a broken ankle and Kendall Wright has already been ruled out for the TNF game.  The 6'5" talent has had some off the field concerns throughout his football career but that doesn't take away from his on the field talent.  Just two weeks ago against the Saints, DBG saw 10 targets turning those into 77 yards.  The opportunity is there, it remains to be seen if DBG can seize it.  This is the type of situation we are looking for in a Hail Mary play.
