Week 11 Premium DFS Plays

As we continue to piece our DFS puzzle together, Premium DFS plays puts less emphasis on the value of the player and simply focuses on the final output.  While we use the Value Plays to find points at a discounted price, this allows us to use more of the Premium Plays for each week.

Derek Carr ($6300)
Oakland vs Detroit
While Aaron Rodgers struggled for three quarters against the Lions, he still finished the game with 333 yards, 2 TD, and 0 INT's.  Carr has three straight 300+ yard games including 13 passing TD's over the last four weeks.  By and large, the Lions have struggled to defend the pass.

Week 1: Rivers - 404/2/2
Week 3: P. Manning - 324/2/1
Week 4: Wilson - 287/1/0
Week 6: Cutler - 353/1/1
Week 7: Bridgewater - 316/2/0
Week 10: Rodgers - 333/2/0

The Lions are tied for last in the NFL only having 4 INT's on the season.

Derek Carr has a very low floor and high ceiling making him a candidate for all DFS formats.

Darren McFadden ($5000)
Dallas vs Miami
The Cowboys have removed all doubt of their intent on the use of McFadden.  They lost Dunbar to injury and released both Christine Michael and Joseph Randle leaving McFadden as the sole heir to the throne.  Miami  has had a propensity to giving up HUGE games to opposing RB's.  DeMarco Murray had a combined 119 yards vs the Dolphins last week while Ryan Mathews stole the TD.  The week before, both LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams had over 100 yards rushing and combined for 3 TD's.  In Week 4, Chris Ivory piled up 166 yards and a TD.  Tony Romo makes this entire offense better adding value to McFadden in both the running and passing game.

Based on his volume and high ceiling, McFadden should be considered in all DFS formats.

Latavius Murray ($5600)
Oakland vs Detroit
My write up on Latavius Murray can be found here.

Julio Jones ($9300)
Atlanta vs Indianapolis
Saving money throughout our line up allows us to pony up at certain spots.  This is it.  The Falcons are coming off a bye.  Kyle Shannahan has proven over and over he wants to force feed Julio Jones the ball no matter who is covering him.  Over the last three weeks, Jones has been targeted 17/13/17 times and on the season has been targeted on average 13.2 times per game.  The Colts are ranked 26th in the NFL in terms of yardage and have given up 16 TD's through the air.  They have given up big games to several
different WR's.

E. Sanders - 6/90/1
Amendola - 7/105/0
D. Hopkins - 11/169/0
Hurns - 11/116/1
K. Wright - 7/95/1
Marshall - 7/101/1

The massive amounts of targets Jones is receiving makes him a prime candidate for both GPP and cash line ups.

Calvin Johnson ($7200)
Detroit vs Oakland
The Raiders found a way to allow Antonio Brown to gain 284 yard through the air just two weeks ago.  He is not the only WR to put up attractive numbers against the leagues 28th ranked pass defense.

Marshall - 9/108/0
E. Sanders - 9/111/0
S. Smith - 10/150/0
B. Hartline - 5/96/0

The Raiders have yet to allow a TD to a teams primary pass catcher though they have given up 16 passing TD's thus far on the season.  The Raiders are also ranked 31st allowing 293 YPG.

Calvin Johnson is averaging 9.6 targets and 82.2 yards per game.  The Lions as a whole have not scored many TD's but Johnson has found the end zone 3 times.  Matthew Stafford has averaged 33.3 attempts over the last three games.  If Stafford can find a groove against the Oakland defense, this can be a nice day for Johnson.

Calvin Johnson has a limited ceiling due to the Lions offense but certainly has the ability to have an Antonio Brown type of day.  Johnson may be a better cash game WR but using him in GPP line ups would not be ill advised.

Amari Cooper ($6800)
Oakland vs Detroit
