Week 10 Value Plays

Value plays represent a player where the market prices has not yet adjusted to how well they are currently performing or where a recent injury vaults the player into a more prominent role.

Kirk Cousins ($5200)
Washington vs New Orleans
The Saints pass defense is closing in on the worst pass defense in the history of the NFL, and that isn't an exaggeration.  Using Cousins, especially in GPP contests, will allow you to put more of your money into the WR and RB position.  The Saints have given up more than 300 yards to Marcus Mariota 371, Eli Manning 350, Andrew Luck 333, Sam Bradford 333, Cam Newton 315, Carson Palmer 307.  I'll sneak Matt Ryan in who came just short tossing 295 yards.

Cousins is strong recommendation for your GPP cards.

Brandon Bolden ($3000)/James White ($3000)
Patriots vs NY Giants
This is another GPP recommendation.  I would not use either of these two in cash games due to their low floor.  Right now, we have no idea what Bill Belichick will do in replacing the production left behind from Dion Lewis.  Brandon Bolden benefited last week in his absence but James White was an inactive in Week 9.  One recommendation would be to make two exact line ups with this one exception.  Use Bolden in 1 and White in the other.  It could make for a great GPP card.

James Starks ($4900)
Green Bay vs Detroit
The Packers are projected for 30 points in this game.  Eddie Lacy just doesn't look the same as years past.  He looks very sluggish running into the back of his line more often than not.  Starks has consistently seeing more snaps than Lacy.  The last three weeks Lacy has received 20,25, and 19 offensive snaps whereas Starks has seen 28,22, and 55.  The 55 should set off the alarm bells!  The Packers are favored by 11.5.  If they do in fact get up in this game, it seems to reason Starks finishes this game strong.

Detroit ranks 28th in the NFL in rushing yards given up and have given up a league high 14 rushing TD's.

Starks is a strong recommendation for both GPP and Cash contests.

Allen Robinson ($6700)
Jacksonville vs Baltimore
The Ravens are having severe difficulties defending the pass.  In Week 3, AJ Green piled up 227 yards and 2 TD's against this ailing Ravens defense.  Allen Hurns was in a walking boot on Monday.  As of Wednesday, no additional information has been released.  Whether Hurns plays or not does not affect my recommendation of Allen Robinson.  Robinson was predominantly guarded by Darelle Revis in Week 9 and still put up 121 yards.  Bortles doesn't care who is covering Robinson, he just throws him the damn ball.  Keep your eye on Bryan Walters who has a chance to see an increased role in the event Hurns sits this one out.

Allen Robinson should be considered for all formats of DFS.

DeSean Jackson ($5400)/Pierre Garcon ($4800)
Washington vs New Orleans
As mentioned above, every player for the Redskins should be considered against the worst pass defense in the NFL.  The Saints have given up 24 passing TD's on the season and there is no signs of help coming.  Every game the Saints play is now a shoot out.  Both Washington WR's are a bargain.

Brandon LaFell ($4100)
New England vs NY Giants
The Giants have given up the most passing yards on the season (2772).  Tom Brady is playing better now at the age of 38 than I have ever seen him play in the past.  Use what ever narrative you choose, but the Patriots are moving the football.  Dion Lewis is out opening the door for more targets for all Patriot players.  Brandon LaFell should be a $6000 WR but the Draft Kings market has yet to catch up with his usage.  In the three games return from injury, LaFell has received 8/7/9 targets including a 102 yard performance last week.  I see double digit targets against the Giants this week.

Brandon LaFell is one my best plays of the week and will be on each card for every contest.

Jordan Reed ($4600)
Washington vs New Orleans
As long as Reed stays on the field, he is one of the most athletic TE's in the entire league.  His ability has never been in question.  Reed has seen double digit targets in multiple weeks and has scored 4 TD's.  While he has yet to put up a 100 yard game, this could be the game he does it.  Rob
Gronkowski is by far the best TE in the NFL right now but his price ($8000) reflects it.  If you use a combination of Cousins/Reed, you will have an enormous amount of flexibility at the remainder of the skill positions.
